Sichuan Earthquake Appeal:

By now all of us will be aware of the dreadful earthquake in Sichuan, China. The death toll is rising all the time, and information from various sources suggests the rescue efforts demand lots of resources in terms of equipments and materials. Of course there will be the longer term re-construction to go through also. For some latest news and photos, see the following links:

Various people have asked how they might help. The best we can do is perhaps to make some financial contribution to the rescue and recovery efforts. A number of channels have been set up to accept donations. Three are listed below:

1. Via The Chinese Embassy In UK (http://edinburgh.china-consulate.org/chn/xwdt/t434675.htm) using the following two methods:

2. Some UK charity organisations have set up dedicated earthquake appeals, eg: www.RedCross.org.uk/quakeappeal (China Earthquake Relief)

3. Some individuals have established calls for donation through which you may give securely, eg: http://www.justgiving.com/rbsjames(Help Children in Sichuan Earthquake)

Every bit of help is appreciated. Thanks for your kind considerations.
